Stephen Larsen is a graduate of Columbia University, (B.A., M.A.), and The Union Graduate School (Ph.D.). He is Professor Emeritus of Psychology from Ulster County Community College (SUNY). He has trained with Edward Whitmont, M.D., Jungian Training Analyst, and Stanislav Grof, M.D., as well as Joseph Campbell, M.A. LL.D., in the understanding of Myth and Symbol.  He is the author of The Shaman's Doorway and The Mythic Imagination. He co-authored A Fire in the Mind: The Life of Joseph Campbell, with Robin Larsen, his wife. He has written over forty other books, articles and introductions. Stephen continues to write, lecture internationally, and continue with his clinical practice.
